The academic community of the College of Agriculture (CoA), Vellayani, is celebrating the outstanding achievement of one of its students, Ms. Fathima Afeefa, who has been awarded the esteemed Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. This prestigious honor is accompanied by a generous scholarship of ₹45 Lakhs, underlining the significance of her accomplishment.
Ms. Afeefa, a first-year postgraduate student specializing in Vegetable Science, has been selected for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship in the Master Program in Plant Breeding — emPLANT+ Mobility. This program is a gateway to cutting-edge international education, with her first year of study to be conducted at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Sweden, followed by her second year at the University of Milan (UMIL) in Italy.
This scholarship is part of the commitment of the European Commission to promoting international education through the Erasmus Mundus initiative, which aims to enhance the quality of higher education through scholarships and academic cooperation between the European Union and the rest of the world.
