Dr. P.R. Geetha Lekshmi had graduation and post graduation from Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh KrishiVidyapeeth, Akola, Maharashtra with University first rank at both levels and doctoral degree from Kerala Agricultural University. Joined KAU as Assistant Professor (Hort), in 2009. She had published 25 research journal articles, 35 research papers as proceedings, 20 popular articles, 17 extension literatures and conducted several extension trainings, television, and radio talks. She is implementing external aided projects and guiding PG students. She has developed technologies for postharvest handling of red banana and commercialized technology for ‘Red Banana Cool’- Red Banana RTS. Received Netherlands Fellowship for short course on Lost harvest and wasted food at Wageningen, The Netherlands in 2014.
