Studied BSc.Engg.(AG) at Allahabad University, obtained M.Tech. and PhD  from Indian  Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in Agricultural Engineering, 

Worked for nearly three years at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad before joining Kerala Agricultural University in 1988, 

Worked at Kelappaji college of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (KCAET) Tavanur till 1998, 

working at College of Agriculture, Vellayani till date
